This buttplate is molded of hard black plastic and is a reproduction of an original Stevens buttplate.  It is availabe in two styles: with border as shown above, and without border. For new stocks we recommend the plate with border, since it has a very nice finished look.  For refitting to existing stocks we recommend the borderless style, since it looks better when trimmed to fit your wood.
